Late again...

Hello my lovelies and thank you for stopping by and reading this blog. Later then planned I'd like to share the first of my entries to The Cardmaker of the Year 2023. I thought I would share the cards and project in the order they were made so the first thing I am showcasing is the gem heart in frame. I don't make non-card projects very often because I prefer cardmaking, I had a lot of ideas but wanted to keep things simple and elegant. In my stash I have a Hunkydory Punch It! papercraft pad 2. It is supposed to be used with a Premier screw hole punch which I don't have so I used different sized gems instead. I made the frame using a die from my stash and cut it out of black cardstock. Although I liked it plain, I thought there was something lacking in the design so added a die cut butterfly from my stash.

I hope you like my little project, I found it very inspiring to shop from my stash this year instead of buying the latest thing as I've done previously. For a number of years my hobby was craft buying instead of craft making. I am ready to start crafting on a more regular basis. Don't get me wrong I still love to shop especially if it's a crafty bargain but everyone is impacted by the high prices of basics like food and electricity etc so I need to shop wisely and make my stash my first stop instead of my last.
